Good Directions

Country Chorus Blog is all about country music, new, old, bad, good, and in-between. Check here for the latest buzz in country music, rantings, musings, reviews, and recaps and reaction to news from Music Row.

The main country music release I am looking forward to right now is Dierks Bentley’s bluegrass-themed album Up On the Ridge, due out later this year. This promises to be a really good listen. Bentley is well-schooled in bluegrass, and got his start playing Nashville’s Station Inn each week. And we’ve heard his bluegrass-roots before, noteworthy on songs such as “Prodigal Son’s Prayer” (featuring the Grascals) on his 2006 Long Trip Alone.

Check out a sneak peek of Dierk’s new material here.

Sugarland has also been putting in long hours at the studio and their new album, possibly to be called, Incredible Machine, will hopefully be out by fall 2010 according to Jennifer Nettles.

More buzz soon.
