It’s nothing we haven’t heard before, with a melodic hook very similar to Alan Jackson’s “Livin’ on Love,” but John David Kent’s “My Girl” has a good old fiddle sawing away and a nice sound.

Meanwhile, I’m in the process of deciding whether to apply to Middle Tennessee State University’s Master’s of Science in Mass Communications. I figure I might as well, to keep the option open, as it is a good route into the country music business. A well-known grad of MTSU is Chris Young, a downside is that Murfreesbro isn’t always the most popular place.  I’m also trying to figure out options in Australia, but it might not be something I can afford in the near future, especially unless I land a job or likely promise of one before arriving.
